Facebook is a convenient place to share photos with your friends and family. Facebook stores the photos uploaded to a series of albums in the photo section linked from the Facebook profile page. You can replace any photo file you have uploaded, including your main profile image on Facebook, using the Delete function and upload a new photo to replace the deleted file.
Log in to Facebook. Select the “Profile” option in the main navigation menu. This opens the page of your Facebook profile.
Click on the “Photos” icon in the navigation menu on the left. This opens your Facebook pages of photos, which contains albums of all the photos you have uploaded.
Select the album that contains the file of the photo you want to replace. This opens the album and displays all the photos in the main window.
Click on the file of the photo you wish to replace. This opens the image in the Facebook photo browser.
Select the blue “Remove this photo” link that appears in the lower left corner of the browser window. Click on the blue “Confirm” in the pop-up window. This clears the photo and returns you to the album page.
Click on “Add photos” on the button at the top, right corner of the album page. Select “Select photos” in the pop-up window. Go to the file location of the replacement photo on the computer. Click on the image to highlight it, and then press the “Open” button. Facebook loads the selected photo file and adds it to the album.
